Applied Digital Skills from Google in Open Space

Author // Matt Yauk Monday, 09 May 2022

To support students in learning essential digital skills, 192 lessons from Google’s Applied Digital Skills curriculum using Google Workplace were added to Open Space.

These self-paced lessons can be imported into Google Classroom or assigned within a free teacher dashboard to monitor student progress. The lessons feature easy-to-follow directions, video walkthroughs, short assessments, lesson plans and rubrics, and certificates of completion. Applied Digital Skills uses practical activities to help learners build their skills in applications like Google Drive, Docs, Slides, Sheets, Gmail, and others. The target audience for these instructional materials is upper elementary, middle and high school, and adult learners.

Open Space a curriculum creation and collaboration tool powered by INFOhio empowers educators to create and share resources that promote innovative and collaborative learning. Instructional materials added to Open Space go through an evaluation process using a quality rubric. In addition to finding quality instructional materials, Open Space users can view and rate resources and also share content to Google Classroom.
