Description: All INFOhio automated schools will start the 2016-17 school year with access to ISearch Local - the power of ISearch with your school library catalog built in.  Join Elder High School Librarian Monica Williams-Mitchell as she shares the strategies and practices she used to boost her student and staff usage of INFOhio's comprehensive discovery tool to the top of the stats list for Spring of 2016.

    Annette Lang

    Annette Lang has been a technology teacher for over 12 years. Prior to teaching Annette worked in the advertising field. In 2000 she obtained a Master of Arts in Teaching from Kent State.  She completed her library endorsement in 2013 and worked as a district librarian. She has taught middle school through high school. Currently Annette is working as a technology educator to Freshman and Sophomores at Bio-Med Science Academy. The school is a STEM + M high school located on the NEOMED campus,  a Medical College in Rootstown Ohio. Teaching in a 1 to 1 environment for her entire career has helped shaped the way she designs and delivers coursework.

    Monica Williams-Mitchell

    Monica Williams-Mitchell is the library media specialist at Elder High School in Cincinnati.  She spent 15 years as an English, journalism  and reading teacher, and completed her MLIS degree in 1999.  She is an advocate for student ownership of  learning and the creative use of technology in the classroom, and is an InfOhio District/Building ICoach.  She loves to connect teachers and students to resources they haven’t yet met.   In her spare time, she directs high school theatre at LaSalle High School.
