 Best Practices for Digital Reading in Action

Review the following lesson plans.

The INFOhio Early Literacy Task Force developed four lesson plans which integrate best practices into the teaching.

INFOhio developed two Hyperdoc lesson plans for sixth grade and high school biology. These lesson plans also include best practices for digital reading.

 

Reflecting on Your Learning
  1. For the most part, the use of best practices is not explicit in these lesson plans. How can you make them more intentional in the teaching approaches used?
  2. Think about the close reading strategies you learned in a previous lesson. Where could one or more of those strategies be used in the lessons?
  3. Which of the two formats used in the lesson plans would work best with your teaching style, subject area or grade level? Why?
