The Ohio Reviewed Instructional Materials hub is a one-stop shop for Ohio educators looking peer-reviewed, high-quality instructional materials that align to Ohio's Learning Standards. Users can also find these resources with a general Open Space search or in the collections area.

To access the hub from anywhere on the Open Space platform, click the "Hubs" link in the top navigation bar (1 in the image below), then select the ribbon icon (2) or the "See all Hubs" link. As of July, 2023, the Ohio Reviewed Instructional Materials hub is the only public hub on Open Space.

The hub's front page, pictured below, includes areas for users to search:

• All instructional materials listed in the hub.
• Collections for the Accelerating Learning and Flexible Learning endorsements.
• Information about high-quality instructional materials and the hub.

When viewing a resource's record through the hub, users can find:

• Endorsements earned by the resource.
• Standards aligned to the resource.
• A comment from an educator-reviewer with a link to the full review.

Review Process and Endorsements

The Instructional Materials Rubric from INFOhio empowers educators to quickly and easily evaluate the quality of instructional content. The rubric, inspired by guidelines from EdReports, Achieve.org, Ohio Department of Education, CAST, and research on quality instructional materials, features 14 standards for evaluation in the following areas:

• Standards Alignment
• Research-Based Strategies
• Flexibility
• Usability

INFOhio has trained groups of educators to review content using the Instructional Materials Rubric. After a review, materials that meet or exceed expecations in the Standards Alignment and Research-Based Strategies categories of the rubric earn the Accelerating Learning endorsement. Similarly, materials that meet or exceed expectations in the Usability and Flexibility categories of the rubric earn the Flexible Learning endorsement.
