Reflecting on Your Learning

Now that you have learned more about IWonder and how to use it in your classroom, answer the following questions.

  1. What part of the class and its activities was most helpful in your understanding of IWonder? Why?
  2. What part of the class could be better? What would you do to improve it? Why?
  3. What was the most important thing you learned about IWonder? What makes it important to you? This question can be answered in the INFOhio Resources for Research Open Space group Discussions. Find the What Did You Learn from the IWonder Class? reflection question. Reply to the thread and review other participants' responses.

Extend the Learning

Now that you have completed the training, make sure the learning doesn't stop. Once your students have completed the Genius Hour activity, make sure to evaluate it. Consider these questions.

  1. What worked and what didn't? How would you replicate the success or correct the problem next time your students complete the IWonder Genius Hour activity?
  2. What did you discover about yourself or your teaching style by incorporating the Genius Hour activity into your classroom teaching?
  3. What are two pieces of advice you would give to a fellow teacher who wants to integrate IWonder and the Genius Hour activity into their classroom teaching?
