Logging In Automatically

INFOhio licenses digital content on behalf of Ohio PreK-12 students, teachers, and parents. Due to vendor contracts, the digital content on the INFOhio website is password protected. However, most Ohio users do not need to enter a username and password. INFOhio takes the following steps to try to log users in automatically:

  1. IP Authentication. INFOhio works with the ITCs to maintain school IP addresses. INFOhio uses those IP addresses to log users into the INFOhio website and to some digital content collections.
  2. Previous Login. The INFOhio website uses a cookie to recognize which INFOhio login was most recently used on that device within the last 365 days.
  3. Geolocation. INFOhio uses geoauthentication to log Ohio users in with the statewide username and password.

If INFOhio cannot recognize your IP, your previous login, or that you are located in Ohio, you will need to log in manually.

Watch this short video to learn more about the basics of logging in.

Logging In Manually or Switching Your Login

Schools and districts in Ohio have unique usernames and passwords that give their students and educators access to local school library catalogs through ISearch, INFOhio's search tool that provides access to nearly all INFOhio digital content, along with the materials in their school library.

If you are not automatically recognized with your school's login information, switch to your school login to view your school's ISearch:

  1. Click INFOhio Statewide User in the upper left corner of the INFOhio website.
  2. If you know your district username and password, enter the information.
  3. If you don't know your district username and password, click Find Password and begin typing your school name, selecting it from the list when it appears. Your username and password will be displayed.
  4. If you have any trouble logging in or need any help, please contact us at support.infohio.org.
