​Use this checklist to determine whether you have met the objectives of the class.
- I understand the importance of using digital text, print, and other media in early learning curriculum.
- I can access Highlights Library on the INFOhio website.
- I can use the navigational tools to search and browse content to find the best title for students and instruction.
- I can find the instructional features available in the resource.
- I can identify best practices for using Highlights Library in the classroom.
- I can identify methods for sharing Highlights Library with parents.
- I can create a lesson plan to integrate Highlights Library into instruction.
- I have reflected on learning by sharing information with others.
Reflecting on Your Learning
Now that you have learned more about Highlights Library and how to use it in your classroom, answer the following questions.
- What part of the class and its activities was most helpful in your understanding of the topic? Why?
- What part of the class could be better? What would you do to improve it? Why?
- What was the most important thing you learned from this class? What makes it important to you? This question can be answered in the Reading on the Screen Open Space group Discussions. Find the What Did You Learn in the Highlights Library Class? question. Review the thread and reply to other participants' responses.
Extend the Learning
Now that you have completed the training, make sure the learning doesn't stop. Once you have taught the lesson you created featuring Highlights Library, make sure to evaluate it. Consider these questions:
