Early Literacy in a Digital World: Apps and Ebooks for Young Readers
How can tablets, mobile phones, and computers help children learn to read? What are the keys to success when using technology to build strong readers? What apps, e-books and online learning environments can you use to help beginning readers have fun and learn at the same time? Join Cen Campbell, one of Library Journal’s 2014 Movers and Shakers and founder of LittleeLit.com, as she answers these questions about early literacy and shares what libraries across the U.S. are doing with new media and early literacy. Then INFOhio ILibrarian Emily Rozmus will present research and best practices for using BookFlix, Early World of Learning, and Searchasaurus to develop early reading skills that will lead to success for Ohio students.
