When school is unexpectedly closed – weather, etc. – you want to be sure Sirsi doesn’t charge students unnecessary fines.
If you don’t charge fines, you don’t need to do anything!
If you do charge fines, you should do the following:
1. The day school reopens, use the Checkin Bookdrop wizard (under Special Circulation) to set the date back to the day school was closed. Sirsi will then reflect items were checked in on the day school was closed.
2. Close the appropriate days on the school’s calendar. You may need to have the head librarian or your ITC provider do this. This will prevent fines being charged on a day school was closed.
