One Size Doesn’t Fit All: Using Universal Design for Learning to Increase Student Achievement
Does one size fit all? The average shoe size for American women is 8; for American men, it’s 10.5. But what if you don't wear this size? Do you learn how to adapt by walking in the wrong shoe size, or do you find the right fit? The same goes for learning. Teachers may need techniques to help accommodate for individual student needs – the right fit for their learning style. Join Jeff McCormick as he provides information about Universal Design for Learning (UDL), an approach to designing educational environments and products so they can be used by the widest range of students without adaptation. Participants will learn tips and strategies that can help educators design educational environments that enable all learners to gain knowledge, skills, and enthusiasm for learning.
