What does your vision for teaching and learning five years from now look like? Future Ready Schools provides a clear framework for K-12 school districts to help plan and implement research-based strategies for personalized student learning. Ohio became a Future Ready state in the Fall of 2017, and many Ohio schools are taking the pledge to commit to transitioning their districts in meaningful ways that will impact teacher development and student learning. Ohio Department of Education's Director of Integrated Technology Stephanie Meeks will introduce Ohio's Future Ready movement and what it means to be a Future Ready School. In addition, Graham Local Schools' administrative team will discuss their Future Ready vision in action. Principals Chad Miller, Chad Lensman, and Ryan Rismiller will share their elementary, middle, and high schools' programs and systems which support personalized digital learning that will prepare their students for future college and careers, as well as the workforce. Ohio Small Rural Collaborative President Ryan Rismiller will also share how small and rural schools working together can improve student learning and realize the Future Ready vision.

Stephanie Donofe Meeks is director of integrated technology at the Ohio Department of Education, where she supports technology integration innovations and blended learning initiatives for districts and schools across the state. Before joining the department, she served as district coordinator for Instructional Technology at Westerville City Schools and Olentangy Local Schools, as well as a teacher and school librarian with the Diocese of Columbus Schools, Columbus City Schools, the Department of Defense Dependents Schools in Germany and Korea and Edison Local Schools.
Stephanie earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Education and Instructional Technology at Kent State University, as well as post-graduate degrees in School Library at Kent State and School Administration at Ashland University. She is currently working on her doctorate in Organizational Leadership at Ashland University as part of Cohort 19. Originally from Steubenville, Stephanie considers herself a citizen of the world after living overseas in Asia and Europe for eight years. In her free time, she recharges by cooking, traveling and having fun with family, friends and her dog, Lupini.
