Zoom and INFOhio Training Offered to All Ohio School Districts

The Management Council recently hosted webinars for districts interested in learning how they can use Zoom and INFOhio for remote learning. The webinar recordings are now available.

Zoom video collaboration software enables teachers and students to engage in high-quality, live, online learning opportunities. Zoom requires no special technology, and can be used on any platform (e.g., Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, and Chromebooks). Remote students without a computer or smart device at home can still participate via audio using a telephone.

Each session will also provide training on how to leverage all of INFOhio's high-quality digital content, entirely free of charge. INFOhio's content is easy to use remotely—with or without Internet access, covers all subjects and grade levels, and meets Ohio Learning Standards.

Please join Ohio's ITCs and ESCs on this critical training opportunity. Feel free to attend one or both sessions. Each will be recorded and posted to the Management Council Community for public access. Recording links are also posted below as they are available.

Wednesday, March 18 at 10:00am: Using Zoom for Teaching
Webinar Recording Now Available

This session will introduce users to logging on, initiating and joining classes (meetings) using different devices (tablets, phones, laptops, etc.), managing classes—audio, video, recording, viewing options, sharing screens, tracking student engagement, grouping students into breakout rooms, and other instructional strategies. Participants will learn more about INFOhio, including:

  • Teach and Learn with Digital Resources (grade level and subject area with instructional strategies)
  • Teach and Learn with Educator Tools (lessons plans and resources aligned to Ohio Standards, Benchmarks, Indicators)

Friday, March 20 at 1:00pm: Getting Started & Using Zoom
Webinar Recording Now Available

This follow-up webinar on Friday will reinforce the concepts presented on Wednesday, provide more background on recording and using the mobile Zoom app, introduce more instructional and management techniques, and provide background on how to get support. Participants will learn more about INFOhio, including:

  • Teach and Learn with Digital Resources (grade level and subject area with instructional strategies)
  • Teach and Learn with Educator Tools (lessons plans and resources aligned to Ohio Standards, Benchmarks, Indicators)
