INFOhio's Core Collection provides state-funded resources free to all Ohio's K-12 students and teachers for the 2008-2009 school year.

A username and password are required for home access; see your school library media specialist.

Books and Reading

Reading is vital to success in school and in life. Helping your child cultivate a love of reading is one of the most important ways a parent can assure that success. BookHive, Your Guide to Children's Literature and Books. Hear several storytellers at Zinger Tales. From the Public Library of Charlotte & Mecklenburg County (North Carolina)

KidSpace Story Hour. Several stories that are part of the Internet Public Library complied by the University of Michigan School of Information. For beginning readers.

Literature Online from Chadwyck-Healey. Full-text, searchable works available as part of INFOhio's Core Collection of Electronic Resources. Poetry, drama and fiction are included. For grades 9-12.

Storyline Online. Screen Actors Guild members read children's stories aloud, with visuals from the books and background music. Author and performer information, activities and a lesson plan are provided for each book.
