INFOhio Spence White Service Award
Revised for 2007-2008 Background
As an ITC Director, Spence White recognized very early on how the Ohio Education Computer
Network could support INFOhios vision of providing equal access to information
resources to all Ohio students and teachers. Spence believed wholeheartedly in
INFOhios goals, and he worked tirelessly to make INFOhio a reality. As an INFOhio
consultant, Spence worked behind the scenes with ITCs and vendors to help keep the
operations running as seamlessly as possible. He loved to watch the membership and usage
statistics grow, because he knew that meant more students were being served. Spences
service helped INFOhio grow toward its vision, and the growth he tended to so carefully
continues today. Spence Whites exemplary service to INFOhio is a legacy we celebrate
and hold as a standard of excellence.
