Migration Update
Message from INFOhio Technical Support
April 2, 2007INFOhio customizes, writes new reports for WorkFlows®
Using the comments of several INFOhio users of SirsiDynix WorkFlows and
ITC providers,
INFOhio Technical Services staff is
continuing to tailor WorkFlows Reports for INFOhio library customers.
The process usually takes an existing report and revises its selection and
sorting criteria. Also, output options are often changed. Each report is
tested thoroughly by Ohio library staff. Sometimes a report is completely
re-coded by INFOhio staff. Once finished, the new report is added to the
INFOhio tab in WorkFlows and distributed to all 23 ITCs for use
by more than 2,000 buildings using WorkFlows through INFOhio. The
process is time-consuming, but the end result is a report specifically
designed for Ohio's K-12 needs.
The screen illustration below shows a recent version of the INFOhio
tab.

Documentation for all INFOhio reports is available in Section 15 of
INFOhio's WorkFlows manual. Those INFOhio library automation
customers who need the username and password should contact the
ITC provider who provides
their support. Work continues to identify and deliver additional INFOhio
reports. INFOhio library automation customers are encouraged to contact
their
ITC provider with suggestions,
both for new reports and improvements to existing reports. Several providers
have volunteered to serve on a Work Team to evaluate and prioritize
suggestions from the field and to test reports before their release to
INFOhio customers. Thanks to everyone helping improve this INFOhio
component! |
