Tip-of-the-Month: September 2002
Did you know that you can use the Control-U key combination to delete a line of text quickly in the Medianet Update modules? If you are anywhere on a line that you'd like to erase in order to enter new data, just type Control-U and the line of text will be gone.
You might use this editing function when you need to change a client's
address. You can delete the entire street address using Control-U, giving you
a clean line for entering the new street address.
Note: You can't delete data that appears inside angle brackets (<>)
using Control-U.
To replace that data (for example, a phone number) you just need to type in the new number. To delete data in angle brackets, leaving the field blank, use SPACE-ENTER.
