INFOhio Spence White Service Award
Revised for 2003 Background
As a DASite
Director, Spence White recognized very early on how the Ohio Education Computing Network
could support INFOhios vision of providing equal access to information resources to
all Ohio students and teachers. Spence believed wholeheartedly in INFOhios goals and
he worked tirelessly to make INFOhio a reality. As an INFOhio consultant, Spence worked
behind the scenes with the DASites and the vendors to help keep the operations running as
seamlessly as possible. He loved to watch the membership and usage statistics grow,
because he knew that meant more students were being served. Spences service helped
INFOhio grow toward its vision and the growth he tended to so carefully continues today.
Spence Whites exemplary service to INFOhio is a legacy we celebrate and hold as a
standard of excellence.
