Since the time INFOhio's first school libraries automated with MultiLIS in 1994, library automation software, like many other software applications today, has been revolutionized. Changes in technology and database structure have allowed vendors to meet the diverse needs of library staff and patrons alike by providing better access to information with friendlier and more appealing user interfaces.

The MultiLIS software has served INFOhio's needs well for almost a decade, but INFOhio recognizes the importance of keeping pace with technology to better serve our libraries and patrons. In the fall of 2000 INFOhio established the framework for a committee to investigate migration in earnest and to report findings and recommendations to the INFOhio Governing Advisory Board and ITC directors. In March 2002 the INFOhio Governing Advisory Board approved the migration to SirsiDynix's K-12 library automation product.

INFOhio's migration to SirsiDynix K-12 is well underway. The information shared on this site should be beneficial to all in the INFOhio community as we work together to meet this goal. Please check this site frequently for progress reports and new migration information.
