INFOhio Educator Sweepstakes 2006
INFOhio held a special drawing for school library staff and other Ohio educators
to promote use of the recently published Toolkit for Promoting
INFOhio Resources to Parents. The 36-page Toolkit
was distributed to schools across Ohio in spring 2006 and is available online.
Eligible sweepstakes entries had to complete any four of the following
seven tasks:
- Adapt one of the articles in the Toolkit
to your school and publish it in the school newsletter.
- Adapt (if desired), print and distribute one of the Toolkit's
fliers or bookmarks to parents or students.
- Adapt and distribute the Toolkit's
letter to parents or the flier for parents.
- Show the INFOhio video, What
Is INFOhio?, at a teacher in-service, parent meeting or other school
event.
- Make a presentation on the Toolkit
at a parents meeting, a school board meeting or other school event.
- Print and use the INFOhio Resource Hunt Cards, Set Two: For Parents
[MS Word OR PDF 6 pgs], at an open
house or other event attended by parents.
- Work with your administrator to invite local community leaders (e.g., mayor, school
board members, business leaders) to your public presentation.
Submissions deadline was October 1. INFOhio had a third party draw names of prize winners. Prizes will
be distributed at the INFOhio booth at the OELMA conference
in Columbus, October 12-13, 2006, or by other methods. |
