Authentication URLs for INFOhio's Electronic Resources
Some webmasters provide easy links from their sites to the INFOhio home page, and INFOhio encourages this practice. Other webmasters prefer to provide links to specific resources. One way to accomplish this is to copy each button from INFOhio's Core Collection of Electronic Resources, obtaining the appropriate URL with the logo.

Another strategy is to copy the authentication URLs from the table below. Important: For authentication purposes, some URLs are case sensitive. If the website where your page is being placed utilizes frames, use the target="_blank" parameter on the hyperlink to open the page in a new web browser window.

Electronic Resources: Vendor Recommendations
The following information has been received from vendors supplying INFOhio with various electronic resources. Links to additional plug-ins are part of INFOhio's Multimedia Tools page. Important: Vendor recommendations are subject to change.

Excluding Domains from Security Software, Firewalls, Caches and  Filters
To avoid problems that result from security, filtering or caching technologies improperly processing pages, INFOhio recommends that webmasters at the Information Technology Centers and building/district level exclude domains from filters and caching. These same domains might also apply to security software and personal firewalls on local computers and should be identified as trusted sites.

Special note:  OhioLINK requires that INFOhio use a proxy server to access their resources. Your networking staff should be asked to allow access to ezproxy.infohio.org server (66.114.0.16).

INFOhio Document Library - Includes a link for INFOhio Clip Art, a collection of logos and other images that can be copied for use in Ohio K-12 schools without further permission.

Registering IP addresses
If your school obtains Internet access from a non-ITC Internet Service provider (ISP), consider registering your Internet Protocol (IP) addresses with INFOhio. Registration will avoid username/password prompts.

When registering IP addresses, submit the following information to the ITC that serves your region or to INFOhio at webmaster@infohio.org:
- School name
- Information Technology Center
- ISP and its contact information
- IP addresses you wish to register
