Description: You are invited to a special hands-on training workshop for those who
conduct Britannica training sessions for local area schools. This workshop will cover
the finer points of conducting training on the following Britannica databases provided by
INFOhio: |

This workshop will also focus on recently added new features such as: |

Britannica Learning Zone for
Pre-Kindergarten through 2nd grade |

Workspace storage tool for students to
collect their own research materials for future use |

Multimedia resources and the new download
feature for making PowerPoint presentations |

Enciclopedia Juvenil database with
Spanish-language reference materials and student activities for
younger students |

Please take time to review these online resources prior to the workshop, if you are not
already familiar with them. This session will be a great opportunity to answer any
questions about the Britannica materials.
The workshop will provide training tips, suggested examples, answers to frequently
asked questions, troubleshooting tips for technical issues and other resources, so that it
is easy to share INFOhios Britannica resources with elementary and secondary
educators.
This session will be conducted by Hilit Kravitz, Britannica’s Director of
Professional Development, who provides professional development for
teachers, library media specialists and master trainers. |
