INFOhio / NWOET Social Studies Alignment Workshops
For Social Studies Teachers and School Librarians
INFOhio,
in cooperation with the
Northwest Ohio Educational Technology Foundation (NWOET), is offering a
one-day Social Studies Alignment Workshop for both social studies teachers
and school librarians at six sites around the state during the first two
weeks of October 2007.

To apply standardized criteria to align
school library resources to grade level indicators |

To understand grade level indicators as
they relate to the benchmarks |
 |
To retrieve aligned resources locally
and via the
INFOhio
Curriculum Resource Catalog |
 |
To create the catalog record to retrieve
aligned resources |

Important - Only
resources aligned to Ohio Academic Content Standards per the INFOhio
process and criteria will be accepted by INFOhio for submission to the
D3A2 Content Exchange. |
Workshop open to |

K-12 social studies teachers and librarians (A
district must be represented by at least one teacher and one
librarian.) |
 |
Preference will be given to INFOhio automated
schools. NON-INFOhio automated schools are welcome, but assistance
with access to local library automation system will not be
available. |

Cost - $150 per participant includes binder of all workshop
materials, morning coffee and rolls, box lunch and afternoon snack. |

One hour Bowling Green State University graduate
credit available for $331 plus additional work as arranged. |

Six contact hour certificates provided to those not
selecting graduate credit. |

Note - Any location that does not have the needed 15 registered
participants required to cover the cost of the workshop will be
cancelled.
