How current are you on the Web 2.0 utility, social bookmarking? Get up to speed with this connection. Social bookmarking is an easy way to organize your bookmarks and also information from blogs, wikis and even INFOhio Electronic Resources, so that you can have access to them from any computer. You can give each of your bookmarks a tag (user created subject heading) and can enter notes about the sites. The beauty of it is that you can not only find your resources from any computer, but you can also share bookmarks and even search for other people's tagged resources. See how librarians, teachers and students can use social bookmarking for research projects and even highlight and take notes on online magazine articles from INFOhio.

Searching With the NEW INFOsearch Feature

December 13, 2007, 3:30-4:30 p.m.

Looking for a way to search more than one resource from INFOhio's Core Collection of Electronic Resources?  INFOsearch is the answer! INFOsearch allows users to search more than one part of INFOhio's Core Collection of Electronic Resources at the same time. For example, a Grades 6-8 INFOsearch general search for space shuttle may deliver results from AccessScience, Compton's by Britannica and SIRS Discoverer. Other searches will deliver other results, depending on the search type or category you choose. Attend this session to learn all the ins and outs of using INFOsearch. Needing ideas on presenting this new search feature to teachers and students? This session will help. We will cover many frequently asked questions and have time for you to ask your own questions.
