On October 12, 2004, Lexile reading levels were added to SIRS Discoverer, one of the INFOhio Core Collection of Electronic Resources provided at no cost to every Ohio K-12 student and educator.

Lexile scores help match reader ability and text difficulty. Lexile indicators display as underlined numbers in results lists. Lists can now be sorted by Lexile value, either with lowest or highest scores first. In SIRS Discoverer’s Advanced Search, articles returned can be limited by Lexile range.
