Core Collection vendors often make revisions to their products during the school year. In addition, INFOhio attempts to hold changes to the Core Collection suggested by its participants to around the middle of the school year. The Ohio Area Instructional Media Centers Digital Video Collection includes hundreds of digital videos that have been made available at no cost to Ohio K-12 districts. INFOhio maintains the server that holds the Digital Video Collection. In order to make the collection easier to use, the DVC button was added to the Core Collection page and each of the grade level pages, both button and text versions. Enciclopedia Juvenil from Encyclopaedia Britannica is an online Spanish language encyclopedia that is appropriate for younger Spanish-speaking students and students just learning the Spanish language. A new button was added to the Core Collection page and to the K-5 page. In addition, there is a link on the Enciclopedia Universal en Español authentication page that makes Enciclopedia Juvenil available to all grades.

A new button is just the start of what has changed with Searchasaurus, part of INFOhio’s EBSCOhost subscription. Not only does the Searchasaurus character have a new wardrobe, the new interface has a format similar to EBSCOhost’s Kids Search and Student Research Centers for Grades 6-8 and 9-12, including a direct link to Teacher Resources. Another change to the Resources for Grades K-5 is the removal of the TOPICsearch button. Articles selected for TOPICsearch are generally for students reading above the fifth grade level. TOPICsearch remains part of EBSCOhost’s Student Research Centers for Grades 6-8 and 9-12.
