Dear EBSCO Customer:
Subsequent to EBSCO Publishings recent loss of rights to Stedmans Medical
Dictionary (included in Health Source: Consumer Edition and Health
Source: Nursing/Academic), we plan to remove the dictionary from these products prior
to the end of September.
However, we are very pleased to announce that we have secured extended rights to include Merriam-Websters
Medical Desk Dictionary with selected products. The Merriam-Webster Medical Desk
Dictionary will be available on Health Source: Consumer Edition and Health
Source: Nursing/Academic by the end of October 2005.
Merriam-Webster's Medical Desk Dictionary is an indispensable medical reference
tool featuring more than 59,000 (this represents a 31% increase over Stedmans)
fully searchable entries, including pronunciations, not available in Stedmans.
It helps researchers to communicate more effectively in healthcare settings, follow the
latest medical discoveries, and complete insurance and medical forms. The Merriam-Webster
Medical Desk Dictionary is designed for allied health students, medical
professionals, as well as anyone looking for an easy-to-use guide to today's medical
terminology.
