Britannica
has been hard at work over the holidays, adding new features to the databases. Here are
some new features you will be interested in...
First, on the Britannica
Online School Edition home page, there is a new feature called Britannica
Highlights in the right column. You will find interesting Britannica articles
appearing here each week.
Second, there are some major improvements to Britannica's search results. The Britannica
Elementary Encyclopedia now appears at the top of the search results, in the
third column, making it easier for young students to find elementary-level articles. The Britannica
Internet Guide, magazine article links, and video clips are now in the fourth column.
Here is an example
of how it looks.
Also on the search results, you will see a "count" at the top of each column,
indicating the number of articles relating to your search. For example, the first column
has "Results 1-6 of 75." Results 1-6 are displayed on the first page, and then
for additional articles you can click the More Articles link at the bottom of the
column.
Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
Best wishes for a wonderful 2004!
