has many changes. Many exciting, new resources join other high quality INFOhio

that are easily searchable, standards-based materials that encourage
knowledge construction and enhanced teaching strategies.

Spence White Award honors two providers
The
INFOhio Spence White Service Award recognizes exemplary service
provided to the INFOhio community by ITC personnel. For the 2008 Award,
the
INFOhio Governing
Advisory Board selected two ITC providers,
Dianna
Ashburn and
Christina Schmoll. Dianna is Manager of Library Automation Services at
SPARCC. Christina, longtime Library Services Support Specialist
at NOECA is
recognized posthumously, having passed away from cancer last year.
Presentations were made at the
joint meeting of ITC
providers who support INFOhio and the
INFOhio Users Council in June.

INFOhio adds
features to SchoolRooms®
If you haven't
checked out
SchoolRooms
recently, here's another reason to investigate this new
discovery portal: Near the end of last school year INFOhio added articles from many of our
Core Collection of Electronic Resources. Not only can you and your students search among
more than 22,000 Web sites selected by Ohio educators to support Academic
Content Standards, results lists can link to magazine and newspaper
articles, encyclopedia articles and more. Let us know what you think; use the Help Evaluate section on the main SchoolRooms page. |

Internet2 Network
is on and available now to members of Ohio's K-12 community served by the
Ohio Education Computer
Network and its Information Technology Centers.. INFOhio will be leading
the efforts to help Ohio educators learn more about Internet2 through
professional development, Web links and other tools.

The INFOhio
Users Council provides grassroots involvement for INFOhio's products and
services, with two representatives from each ITC. Most
INFOhio Users Council Representatives have been selected for the
2008-2009 school year, and the current directory is now available. Contact
your representatives to comment on any aspect of INFOhio.
OH! Kids, OH! TweensI and
OH! Teens are no longer available, so INFOhio now links to
KidSpace
and TeenSpace
on our Grade Level and
Other Online
Resources pages. Both sites are
published by the Internet
Public Library. |
