Fifteen online reference tools for various subjects and grade levels, free to all Ohio K-12 students and their parents.Updates for 2008-2009
INFOhio's Core Collection of Electronic Resources will see some changes for the 2008-2009 school year. One change, a new username and password for home access, was announced earlier this month and will be effective July 1, 2008. Read more...

INFOhio continues its participation in the evaluation of current Core Collection resources obtained through Libraries Connect Ohio (LCO), an effort of Ohio's three library networks (INFOhio, OhioLINK and OPLIN) and the State Library of Ohio. Proposals are being considered from current and prospective resource providers, and the review team intends to select the best resources for the least cost to benefit all of Ohio's citizens. While most Core Collection resources will remain the same, the possibility exists that some new products may replace current products. Information will be provided to the Ohio K-12 community as it becomes available.

Part of INFOhio's contribution to the LCO evaluation process depended on the online survey conducted in February. Thanks to the hundreds of school library staff who took time to complete the survey, and especially for the thoughtful comments that supplemented the data.

INFOhio's Research Project Calculator can assist students in writing an essay or report, creating a PowerPoint® presentation or producing a video. Provide a starting and due date for the project and the Calculator will help organize the assignment step by step, along with helpful process suggestions.

The Research Project Calculator is part of INFOhio's efforts to support several state agencies and organizations working to ensure our students have a successful transition from high school to college. Watch for more information in the next RECORD. This is INFOhio's first release of the Calculator, and we welcome comments from students and educators. Use the Suggestions link near the top of every INFOhio Web page; choose Research Project Calculator from the dropdown menu.
