New username, password for OAIMC Digital Video Collection
Use a link in the table below to locate a specific video.It's easier than ever to access Ohio Area Instructional Media Centers' (OAIMC) Digital Video Collection (DVC), now that home access is provided with the same username and password required for INFOhio’s Core Collection of Electronic Resources. The DVC contains more than 200 videos, with more than 700 instructional modules, and includes programs for almost all subjects and grade levels. The entire collection is available without charge to Ohio’s K-12 community.

Sweepstakes 2006 winners announced
The three grand prize winners in INFOhio Educator Sweepstakes 2006 are Margaret Massengale, Heskett Middle School in Bedford City Schools, who won the Sony DVD/VCR Combo; Nancy Niemeyer, St. John the Evangelist School in Deer Park, who will receive the 51-volume set of Britannica's Discover America; and Stephanie Born, Green High School (Scioto County), who won the 26-volume set of the 2007 Compton's by Britannica. INFOhio Users Council to meet
-The first meeting of the INFOhio Users Council will be held October 11, in conjunction with this year's OELMA conference. The agenda includes organizational tasks such as election of officers. Scheduled for discussion: SirsiDynix SchoolRooms®, expanded cataloging services, Project Advisory Teams and other topics. A list of representatives for 2006-2007 and the Users Council Guidelines are posted on the INFOhio Web site. The Users Council will help assure grassroots involvement in INFOhio.

INFOhio sessions at OELMA - Each year's OELMA conference features several sessions related to INFOhio's products and services. A list of sessions planned at this year's conference is available on the INFOhio Web site. This year's theme is Formula for Excellence: Library Standards x Best Practices = Student Learning. As presenters make them available, links to handouts, PowerPoints® and other resources will be added. And don't forget to visit INFOhio display in the exhibit hall, booths 308/310.

Two INFOhio Train the Trainer Workshops to highlight INFOhio's Core Collection of Electronic Resources scheduled for October, one for SIRS Discoverer and the other for Britannica Corporation resources, are filled. A repeat of the Britannica session is being arranged for Wednesday, November 1, 2006. Watch for a registration link available soon. Information about our Fall 2006 IVDL series will be posted soon.
