CFLY
Records – Overview
An item cannot be checked out unless it is linked to a bibliographic record. If a matching record is not in your bank, you can create a temporary CFLY record and add the item information to the record. A CFLY record contains the following: (1) title, (2) ISBN, (3) Document Type CFLY for later searching, and (4) an item record.
NOTE: CFLY records should be considered temporary records. They should be upgraded to full bibliographic records as soon as possible.

NOTE: When searching the online catalog, F11 will not display a CFLY record in MARC format because it is not a MARC record. If a CFLY record is accessed via "Create and Update Bibliographic Records" in the Cataloging module, it will be converted to a MARC record and will then display in MARC format if F11 is used.
