Following is a summary of the functions included in the Cataloging Module.

 

 

Search the Online Catalog

           

NOTE: You cannot make any modifications to bibliographic records from this option.

 

Create and Update Bibliographic Records

   ·  Search for a bibliographic record in your bank - PF2

   ·  Modify a bibliographic record

   ·  Add a tag to a bibliographic record - PF4

   ·  Update an item record

   ·  Add an item

   ·  Link an item to another bibliographic record

   ·  Modify an item

   ·  Delete an item

   ·  Create a bibliographic record  - PF3

   ·  Copy an existing bibliographic record from any bank at the DASite - PF2

   ·  Create a new bibliographic record by original cataloging - PF3

 

Delete Bibliographic Records

   ·  Search for a bibliographic record, if the record number is unknown - PF2

   ·  Delete a bibliographic record 

 

Add Items

   ·  Search for a bibliographic record, if the record number is unknown - PF2

   ·  Add an item to an existing bibliographic record

 

Update Items

   ·  Search for a bibliographic record, if the record number is unknown - PF2

   ·  Modify information on an item record

   ·  Replace an item number – F8
