Connect Ohio
is a public-private partnership that works with technology-minded
businesses, government entities and universities to accelerate technology in
the state and close the digital divide. The site provides a convenient link
to test a broadband connection. eTech Ohio - eTech Ohio was created by the Ohio General Assembly to merge the technology functions and support provided by the Ohio Educational Telecommunications Network Commission (OET) and the Ohio SchoolNet Commission (OSNC). Libraries Connect Ohio is a partnership of Ohio libraries and library organizations working together to provide a core collection of information resources and library services to all Ohioans. LCO projects include Ohio Libraries Share: MORE statewide resource sharing and Ohio Web Library. Library of Congress - Established the 658 tag in cooperation with INFOhio, assigns library cataloging codes and provides cataloging guidance. Institute for Library & Information Literacy Education (ILILE) - The Institute develops demonstration projects of local, statewide and national significance. With the cooperation of partners such as INFOhio, these projects are accomplished through the creation of a variety of endeavors to provide leadership in the research and teaching necessary for the integration of information literacy in classroom and library media centers. The Institute focuses on activities with PreK-12 teachers, library media specialists, pre-service educators and students working as collaborative peer-learner teaching teams in learning how to use school library media centers and information resources more effectively to enhance student learning. Management Council of the Ohio Education Computer Network (MCOECN) - Support organization for the Ohio Education Computer Network. NetWellness - Health information compiled by the faculty of Case Western Reserve University, The Ohio State University and University of Cincinnati medical schools. Linked from INFOhio's Other Resources page. OCLC - Subscriptions to WorldCat through INFOhio and OCLC provide an affordable and easy-to-use copy cataloging solution for INFOhio automated schools. Ohio Center for Autism and Low Incidence - "Serves families, educators and professionals working with students with autism and low-incidence disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders, multiple disabilities, orthopedic impairments, other health impairments and traumatic brain injuries." Ohio Department of Education - INFOhio strives to support ODE's Academic Content Standards by linking resources in our online catalogs to specific learner outcomes and by providing our Core Collection of Electronic Resources that are integral to student learning. Ohio Educational Library/Media Association (OELMA) - INFOhio works closely with OELMA, the professional organization for school media specialists. Ohio Memory Online Scrapbook - INFOhio joins other Ohio Memory partners by linking to the resource from our Other Resources page, promoting its use in Ohio's K-12 schools and helping develop and test related educational materials. Ohio Memory is a cooperative project of more than 330 cultural organizations led by the Ohio Historical Society. Linked from INFOhio's Other Resources page. Ohio Resource Center for Mathematics, Science and Reading - ORC and INFOhio work with almost 20 other agencies in Ohio Partners in Promoting Student Academic Achievement (OPIPSAA), an effort to align resources with Ohio Department of Education Academic Content Standards. Ohio Social Studies Resource Center - Enhances teaching and learning through the identification and posting of quality Web-based resources that promote best teaching practices; provides free access to peer-reviewed resources to all Ohio social studies educators. OhioLINK - INFOhio's sister network serving Ohio's academic libraries. Joint projects are conducted through Libraries Connect Ohio. Some databases from OhioLINK's Digital Media Center are available to Ohio's PreK-12 students and educators without usernames or passwords. OHIONET - Membership services provided for all K-12 school libraries includes training and product discounts. OPLIN (Ohio Public Library Information Network) - INFOhio's sister network serving Ohio's public libraries. Joint projects include Libraries Connect Ohio. Several OPLIN resources are available to Ohio's PreK-12 students and educators without usernames or passwords. State Library of Ohio - Provides support for all types of libraries. School libraries can apply for Library Services Technology Act (LSTA) Grants managed by the State Library. Dymaxion - INFOhio uses Dymaxion's Medianet Software Package to provide Web-based access for Online Card Catalogs, Remote Booking and Shipping for educational support agencies in Ohio. EBSCO Publishing - A cooperative purchase with OPLIN and OhioLINK provides INFOhio with 24 databases representing more than 6,000 periodical subscriptions and other resources. Ohio's K-12 students and teachers can use EBSCOhost at school or at home. Oxford University Press - OHIONET serves as INFOhio's supplier of Oxford Reference Online Premium Collection, more than 175 complete reference titles - fully indexed and cross-searchable - from a wide range of disciplines. RACO Industries (formerly Bar Code Discount Warehouse, Inc.) - INFOhio is a RACO Industries consortium partner; the company offers several products for Ohio's school libraries.
