INFOhio's State Users Group
Meeting How School Librarians Support Student Learning
Space is filled and registration is closed. Online handouts, PowerPoints, and other meeting resources will be linked from this page. Proficiency tests. Academic Content Standards. Student achievement. Information literacy. Technology literacy. Welcome to the world of school library media centers for the 21st century! INFOhio is in the forefront of Ohio's efforts to enhance student learning using high-quality library/media/technology programs that support today's curricula and enhance students' love of reading and learning. Our first state users group meeting for 2004 will focus attention on INFOhio's work with other agencies and partners in this area. Keynote speaker Carla Southers, Ohio Department of Education coordinator for library media/technology, will provide an update on the recently-released Ohio Academic Content Standards for Technology and an update on the School Library Guidelines. The meeting will be packed with other presentations, INFOhio news, and time for user discussion and feedback. Don't miss the update on the Student Learning Through Ohio School Libraries project, the Ross Todd / Carol Kuhlthau study coordinated by OELMA. An optional MORE K-12 Users Group meeting will follow the 2 p.m. adjournment. Lunch is provided by INFOhio. There is no fee, but registrations are required.
