Toolkit for INFOhio Fall Update 2004
October 19, 2004Instead of holding a state users group meeting,
INFOhio conducted more than 30 regional Fall Update sessions during September and October
2004. Almost 1,000 Ohio educators attended the 2004 series. Most of these half-day
(three-hour) sessions were co-sponsored by DASites conducting local users group meetings
for their service areas. All educators were welcome!
This toolkit supports these regional sessions, DASite users group
meetings, and library media and technology staff conducting local in-service for
back-to-school programs. The next INFOhio State Users Group is scheduled for January 2005.
The regional update sessions explained new features of INFOhio's Core Collection of Electronic Resources,
the 13 online resources provided free to all Ohio students and teachers. The focus was on
changes since last year's regional meetings and curricular applications of the resources.
In addition, the sessions provided brief updates on other INFOhio products and services.
For those unable to attend a session, and for those who wish to use the session materials
for local inservice and instruction, this page collects all the items used and distributed
at the meetings in one location.
PowerPoint presentation [91 slides] October 19,
2004 - This presentation was used at each of the Fall Update sessions and has been revised
since the early session. Many of the slides have extensive notes and links to related
resources. Educators are encouraged to use the slides for district and building
presentations and are welcome to adapt the presentation to local needs and time
constraints. No separate permission is required for use in any Ohio school or agency.
