Dear Colleagues,

INFOhio appreciates the efforts of Holly Bunt, director of the Western Reserve Academy library, and INFOhio Technical Support staff for compiling the following information and preparing directions for item data collection related to an important survey being conducted by  the American Association of School Librarians.

Use your INFOhio library automation software (Workflows) to run reports that assist in responding to the survey's Library Collections questions. INFOhio Technical Support staff has prepared directions on the INFOhio Web site in two formats:

INFOhio has more than 2,400 schools automated with SirsiDynix. Please make sure that each school library in the district fills out this survey. That means all elementary, middle and high school libraries for a school district should participate. 

Librarians who are coordinators for their entire district should fill out the survey for buildings that do NOT have a library. All you need to do is fill out the first two sections of the survey: School Identification Information and Presence of School Library. There are four very quick questions, BUT it is important information for AASL. 

You do NOT need to be a member of AASL to fill out this survey.
